River City Pops Information: Shows March 5th – 8th

Hello all people who might be mildly interested in seeing me sing, dance and generally be a maniac:

The River City Pops 25th Anniversary & Reunion Show is coming up – Like less than two weeks. It should be hilarious and fun, especially if you have some beverages prior to said show. Oh did I mention it’s conveniently located approximately 8 minutes from Trudy’s? Then you won’t feel so silly holding up those poster boards or standing in your seat and dancing. Ha. Just kidding. All you have to do is suffer silently in your chair.

The group is actually the longest, continually running show choir in Austin. Songs in this show range from ABBA to Smokey Joe’s to Latin numbers to “specialty pieces”, including a duet with yours truly in a rad choir robe. Most dance numbers include jazz hands. The details are below and tickets are available on the website, on the phone (350-7677 ) or through me. I could possibly win some prize if you buy them from me but if it’s easier to buy them off the site, do it.

How to get in free or be non-committal:

· If you want to usher, you get to see the show free! Email Lauris Blackwell at HiRise@austin.rr.com to volunteer.

· If you want to attend but don’t want to commit to a show, you can buy a “blanket ticket” and go to any of them.

The show will be held in support of Hospice Austin, a local non-profit organization that strives to support terminally ill patients and their families in their choice to stay comfortably in familiar surroundings. Additional information is provided on the website at www.rivercitypops.org.

Yours in sequins & (hopefully) minimal screw ups,

Kelly
