Party Train: Music Series, Free Food & Fun Festivals

Alright Party Train Participants and those people I’ve added against their will:

If you’re thinking you have nothing to do this weekend, joke’s on you. Lots of fabulous free stuff, great music, funny guys, happy hours and of course, celebrating all things Mom. I’ll be down at the isla catching some rays (and hopefully some trout) with mine.

Three things:

1. There is an operational drive in theater near shiner. The website is completely overstimulating but what a great chance to go out, get your beer tour on, then makeout…er, watch a movie. Crossroads Drive In

2. Always have a phone with you when you go hiking. Sometimes you get lost for four hours and have to call the park ranger to rescue you before it gets dark. Just a word of advice from someone who has never done that.

3. Love being high? Take Trapeze lessons: They will be in Austin until May 31st. This is like a traveling carnival of sorts. Also, you could go see afroman on Sunday at aces. HA!

Yours in bring on the beach,

Things to keep you entertained while you are waiting for your jam-packed weekend to start:

· Hilarious: Who hasn’t drunk texted then erased their history so they wouldn’t be mortified by the evidence?

· Double hilarious, makes you worry about what you search for on the interwebs:

· People have too much money – give it to me:

· Best party favor: We’ve all taken pics at the amusement park where you stick your head into some ridiculous body. Here, you can make your own!

Free & Cheap:

· Free ChikFilA Breakfast:

· Free KFC:

· Free Salsa: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Longhorn Salsa hosts free salsa classes every Tuesday.

· Free ice cream: The new Baskin-Robbins store at 9900 West Parmer Lane is hosting a Grand Opening event on Thursday, May 7 from 6 – 8 p.m. Soft serve will be available for FREE all day. Adventures this week:

Austin Karaoke: yes, it looks like a brothel but it is BYOL and you get a score when you sing on key! The weird Asian movies in the background of your karaoke songs is worth the $5 price of admission.

Uncorked: Good pours, lots of knowledge, great patio. Plus they gave us a little extra. Anyplace that gives me free wine = good

Sumo suits: they make everything better. I laughed so hard it was embarrassing. Rent them to ensure your next party is a raging success

Pecan Street Festival: Free, fun, bought too much jewelry. Definitely go to the one in the fall

Iron Cactus: Food apparently is hit or miss but their roasted salsa is awesome!

House Wine: Amazing cheese plate, decent prices and half off opened bottles on Sunday

Taste: I hear its crap. Don’t go. Small pours, normal high prices. Much better off with your 30% off at cru drink in or 40% off take out on Sundays

To Definitely Do: BrewBQue Festival Beer and Barbecue. I am SO mad I wont be here. County Line is sponsoring, various bbq contests, beer sampling, lumberjack competitions, washers, beer pong, and biggest beer gut, chihuahua races. Fabulous T-Birds, Monte Montgomery, Mother Truckers, Patrice Pike, Joe King Carrasco, and more
